Hey Everybody!
March was a great month for us at ABLE! We had a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day party; everything we served was green! We had a food group scavenger hunt where we learned about the basic essential food groups. We also toured the Western Colorado History Museum to check out some of their new exhibits.
With March over, we are ready to put the long, cold winter behind us and have a warm start to spring! Everyone is very excited to get the chance to get outside, have some fun and do some of our learning activities in the warm sunshine!
On April 2nd, we’ll be decorating eggs and having a Spring festival. On April 9th, we will go to Canyon View Park for a game of kickball. On April 12th, we will visit the Blue Pig Art Gallery to appreciate local art. On April 30th, we will learn how to make & fly kites! We have also added additional bowling days as this is a popular activity. And as usual our volunteer programs continue to do well. Please note that Adopt-a-park will be starting this month.
As we start the spring, please remember that it is still important to send a jacket because the weather continues to fluctuate. Please wear sunscreen on those sunny days, to avoid sunburns. Hats and sunglasses are also welcome additions.
As always, we would like to thank the families and host home providers for making ABLE a continuing success. Please let us know if you have suggestions, questions, or comments. We would love to hear from you.
Have a great April!
