Hey Everybody!

We had a great January to start the year here at ABLE Day Program! We have had a lot of great winter-based learning activities this month. We had a nutritional food scavenger hunt at the Rim Rock Wal-Mart which taught us about making healthier choices nutritionally. We went to a local pet store to learn about how to appropriately and safely treat animals and as always, musical integration and art appreciation were a big success.

Our volunteer programs continue to do well; Catholic Outreach, Salvation Army, and Food Bank continue to provide us with a means to give back to our community and we are grateful for that opportunity.

As this winter drags on, please remember to send everyone with a coat because it continues to be very cold. Gloves and hats are also great additions to help everyone to stay warmer!

Also, please keep anyone who is sick at home. We are trying our best to keep everyone healthy and keep those germs away! We have done a great job this winter season and have not had any major outbreaks so let’s keep it up for a couple more months!

Please be sure to check out the Attached February calendar as we have a lot of fun and exciting things planned! On February 12th, we will be having a holiday party so make sure to send valentines! On February 26th we will be having a talent show so feel free to stop by and watch us show off our talents! Also, please note that ABLE will be closed on February 15th for President’s Day and we will also be closed on February 19th for staff training.

As always, we would like to thank the families and host home providers for making ABLE a continuing success. Please let us know if you have suggestions, questions, or comments. We would love to hear from you.

Have a great February!
