Hey Everybody!

April was a great month for us! Walking and sports at the park have been very popular activities and we have also had a chance to do some bird watching. We went to the Bookcliff Gardens to learn how to properly care for plants. We got to go to Petsmart and discussed how to properly care for our pets during the summer. We went to the Blue Pig Art Gallery to appreciate some of the new art displays that they have. We had a great spring festival as we colored eggs, danced, and just enjoyed that spring is finally upon us. We are looking forward to a great May!

May 7th, we will be having lunch out on the town and on May 14th, we will be having a barbeque and all parents and host home providers are welcome to come! Our volunteering programs continue to do well and everyone enjoys giving back to our community!

Please keep in mind, ABLE will be closed on May 21st for staff training and on May 31st in observance of Memorial Day.

As the weather continues to get hotter, please remember that it is still important to send a jacket because the weather continues to fluctuate. Please wear sunscreen on those sunny days, to avoid sunburns. Hats and sunglasses are also welcome additions. Also, hydration is essential during these warmer months so please make sure to send a water bottle or a sports drink as we don’t want anyone to get dehydrated. Extra water and cups will also be provided by ABLE.

As always, we would like to thank the families and host home providers for making ABLE a continuing success. Please let us know if you have suggestions, questions, or comments. We would love to hear from you.

Have a great May!
